GRP4 TANK HOUSINGS
GRP4 Housings and Kerbs
Group Four
insulated glassfibre Tank Housings are specifically designed to
provide an attractive and professionally finished weatherproof
cover, for roof sited water storage Tanks.
The GRP4
range of Tank Housing are manufactured to quality standards, are are
easily installed by fixing down onto a prepared kerb. They required
minimum maintenance, are cost effective and avoid all the
inconveniences of on site construction .
Subsequent
Tank maintenance can be through a GRP4 Access Hatch, or for major
work, by simply lifting off the whole Tank Housing.
A range of
Access Hatches are available to meet customer requirements.

CONSTRUCTION
Glassfibre
with external isophthalic gelcoat for optimum weathering.
Layup resin
to BS476:Part 7 1971 Surface-Spread-of-Flame Classification 2, and
part 3: 1958: External SAA rating.
FINISH
Lead
grey-integral colour to BS 5252 18-B-25
CAPACITIES
Tank
Housings factory manufactured for 10 gallon to 5,280+ gallon Tanks.
INSTALLATION DETAILS
All the
GRP4 Tank Housings have to be fixed down onto a kerb, and the
dimensions of the Builders Kerb are specified. Grp Kerbs are only
available for the Domestic and Standard Tank Housing models.
The GRP4
Mini, Domestic and Standard Tank Housing are secured down with six
screws and seal washers.
The GRP4
Modular Tank Housing sections are assembled together on site, and
then fixed down onto a Builders Kerb. All assembly items, fixing
and installation instructions are provided.
Stainless
Steel screws etc., can be supplied as specials.
INSULATION
Insulation
giving a thermal transmittance value of better than 0.6W/m2/0c/hr.
Draught
proof foam fixed to underside of kerb flange.
OVERFLOW
PIPES
It is
advisable to take these through the kerb rather than the Tank
Housing.
